For the first time, the Arabic word looks like a continuous drawing. After a few days of proper practice, familiar elements begin to recur. The alphabet is better understood not as 28 separate pictures, but as a system of forms.

Why direction quickly ceases to be a problem

Arabic reads from right to left. At first, this slows down the gaze, but the brain quickly associates the direction with a particular letter. It is important not to “train from right to left separately”, but to read real short combinations immediately.

Teach families, not random order

  • group similar forms;
  • Notice the number and position of the points;
  • Compare pairs that are easily confused.
  • Link the sign to the sound immediately.

Why the chain sometimes breaks

Some letters do not connect with the following. Because of this, a gap appears inside the visually integral word. This rule is limited and quickly becomes familiar if you read the examples, not just the table.

Vocals and short vowels

Educational text often contains additional signs to help the beginner read short vowels. In ordinary writing they are much less. Therefore, the task of learning is to gradually move from “read by hints” to “recognize the word and grammatical pattern”.

Seven-day workshop

  1. Day 1:First family of letters.
  2. Day 2:Second family + repetition.
  3. Day 3:connections.
  4. Day 4:letters that break the connection.
  5. Day 5:omens and syllables.
  6. Day 6:short words.
  7. Day 7:unfamiliar combinations without prompting.

How to check that you are ready to go on

VerificationReadiness
You recognize most letters.Even if not instantly.
You understand the connection principle.Don't be afraid of the new form.
You can read the syllables.Let's go slowly.
It does not depend on Russian transcription.Start reading the Arabic sign directly

Three rookie mistakes

  • Repeat the names of letters for months without reading the words.
  • learn form without sound;
  • Wait for perfect knowledge of the whole table before you start reading.

The alphabet is fixed in reading. Once most of the signs have become familiar, real words should appear in practice every day.
