- Final Test Without AI
- When AI needs to be closed temporarily
The most convenient and at the same time the weakest learning scenario looks like this: insert a task, get a ready answer, change a little and send. The work is done - and so is the training. A more useful approach is the opposite: AI should increase the number of mental actions of the student.
First attempt rule
Before opening the chat, try the task yourself. Not necessarily right. Note that you already understand where you are stuck and what hypothesis you believe is correct.
| Weak request | Stronger for learning |
|---|---|
| Solve the problem. | “I have reached step X. Don't give me an answer. Show me where the error is in reasoning. |
| "Write an essay." | Ask questions to help me form arguments. |
| "Explain the subject." | “Explain and then test me without a clue.” |
Teaching regime
Ask to explain the topic at your level, then more formally, then give an example where simple intuition breaks down.
The Socrates regime
Stop the AI from giving out an answer. Let him ask one question. This format is especially useful when it seems that the topic is clear, until you have to reason for yourself.
Examiner regime
- Close the note.
- Ask questions from simple to complex.
- Answer without prompting.
- Get an analysis only after the answer.
- In the end, solve a new similar problem.
Opponent regime
Ask AI to disagree with your position. This turns chat from a text generator into an intellectual training partner.
- find a counterargument;
- Indicate a hidden assumption;
- Ask what data will change your mind.
- offer an alternative explanation.
Final Test Without AI
| Question | If the answer is no. |
|---|---|
| Can I explain the subject in my own words? | Get back to understanding |
| Can I give you an example? | Inadequate application |
| Can I do that without chatting? | Too much help. |
| Remember every other day? | We need active repetition. |
When AI needs to be closed temporarily
- Open the chat before you try;
- You only know the answer when you look at it.
- Use words that you cannot explain yourself.
- unable to perform a similar task;
- Ask for help in any small difficulty.
The useful formula is simple:Attempt → question → explanation → dispute → independent reproduction. The last step distinguishes a sense of understanding from a real skill.
